HAS THE uSPEQ EMPLOYEE CLIMATE SURVEY BEEN TESTED?

In 2006, CARF launched a pilot study to determine the feasibility of uSPEQ Employee Climate Survey and its psychometric properties. Pilot sites represented organizations of various sizes, geographical locations, and industries.

HOW ARE DATA SUBMITTED TO uSPEQ?

Methods for receiving data vary depending on the subscriber's preference. uSPEQ Employee Climate Survey may be administered via an online questionnaire. Data from each respondent are transmitted directly and securely into the uSPEQ database. Subscribers may also elect to distribute paper questionnaires or use a combination of online and paper questionnaires. Completed paper questionnaires may be mailed by respondents directly to the uSPEQ office, or they may be collected by the subscriber organization and mailed in bulk. Return to top

A copy of the subscriber's data can be provided for an additional fee. To ensure the anonymity of individual respondents, some demographic characteristics are recoded into broad groups for redistribution of data to subscribers. Return to top

ARE COMPARISONS WITH PROVIDERS SIMILAR TO MINE AVAILABLE?

DOES THE uSPEQ EMPLOYEE CLIMATE SURVEY REQUIRE CARF ACCREDITATION?

No. Any organization can subscribe to the uSPEQ Employee Climate Survey. Providers seeking CARF accreditation are free to use any tool that meets the requirements of the standards. However, the uSPEQ employee climate data and reports, if applied within a provider's management information system, can help a provider meet CARF standards for feedback from employees. Return to top

ARE MY RESULTS VIEWED IN THE ACCREDITATION PROCESS?

No. There is a firewall between uSPEQ and CARF accreditation. Your results or participation in uSPEQ has no effect on accreditation. However, subscriber organizations may decide to incorporate the uSPEQ results into the accreditation process. Return to top
